Can I have a hair transplant procedure performed in an area that has been affected by Alopecia Areata?

Firstly, Alopecia Areata should be treated by a dermatologist.
Secondly, if we transplant hair into an area that has active or untreated Alopecia, the hair will not grow.
After successful treatment of Alopecia most of the time the hair will grow back again.  If the area on your scalp is still patchy or you have areas of baldness then hair transplant might be an option.
