Pricing

Your estimate above is what your hair loss pattern needs. What we can transplant in one session depends on what your donor area has. The two numbers meet in your consultation — and neither of them changes the package price.

An all-inclusive FUE hair transplant at Clinicana starts at €2,500. That covers the operation, medication, blood tests, aftercare products and your consultation. DHI packages run from €2,500 to €4,500, and our VIP options with Exosome or Stem Cell therapy are €3,950 and €5,500.

Two things decide your final price: which technique your case needs, and how many grafts your donor area can safely give. Only the first one has a price list. The second is why you will not find a graft number printed on our packages — and why you should be careful with clinics that print one.

How much do 1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 grafts cost in Turkey?

In most Turkish clinics the answer is a multiplication: a price per graft, times the number of grafts they say you need. That is how two clinics can quote wildly different totals for the same head, and it is why a per-graft estimate has a habit of growing after you land in Istanbul.

At Clinicana the price is not a multiplication. The package is priced for the operation, not for the graft, so the figure you agree before you travel is the figure you pay. A 1,200-graft hairline and a 4,000-graft restoration are covered by the same FUE package.

Grafts you needWhat that usually coversWhat you pay here
1,000 – 1,500A receding hairline, or one zone on its ownFUE from €2,500
2,000 – 2,500Hairline together with the mid-scalpFUE from €2,500
3,000 – 3,500Front and crown treated in one sessionFUE from €2,500
4,000Most of the top of the scalpFUE from €2,500 · DHI from €2,500
5,000 – 6,000Advanced loss — only if the donor area can safely give itFUE from €2,500 · Mega DHI €4,500 (two sessions)
Graft ranges follow the calculator at the top of this page. Package prices are the ones in the table above.

How many grafts can actually be taken?

As many as your donor area can safely give. That is a physical limit, set by the density and size of the area at the back and sides of your head, and the surgeon assesses it from your photos before you book. If your pattern calls for 5,000 grafts and your donor area can safely yield 3,500, no clinic can honestly deliver 5,000 — one that promises the number is either counting differently or planning to take more than the donor area should lose. That is why our packages read “max grafts” instead of a figure.

The calculator above estimates the grafts your pattern needs. The consultation tells you how many your donor area can give. Where those two numbers meet is your plan — and it does not change the package price.

Turkey vs the United States: what the same operation costs

Most patients who fly to Istanbul are not buying a discount on the surgery. They are buying a different pricing model. Clinics in the United States charge per graft, so the bill grows with the size of your case. Our packages price the operation, so a larger case does not cost more.

Where the operation happensAcıbadem Taksim HospitalClinic or private surgical suite, varies

The United States range is the figure shown in the country comparison at the top of this page; it varies by clinic, surgeon and city. Our own prices are the euro figures in the package table above, and the figure agreed before you travel is the figure you pay.

The two markets diverge most at the top end. A patient who needs 4,000 grafts pays the same package price here that a 2,000-graft patient pays; in a per-graft market every additional graft is billed.

Why our packages don’t promise a graft number

Most Turkish clinics price by graft count: “up to 4,000 grafts”, “5,000 grafts included”. It reads like generosity. It is a number chosen before anyone has looked at your scalp.

Your donor area — the band at the back and sides of your head — holds a limited supply of follicles that can be moved without thinning the area they came from. That supply is different for every patient, and it does not grow back. It is the real ceiling on any hair transplant, and no package price can raise it.

So consider what happens when a clinic has promised 5,000 grafts to a patient whose donor area can safely spare far fewer. On the day, there are only three ways to make the invoice true: extract beyond what is safe, split follicles to inflate the count, or deliver less than was sold. None of them is a good outcome for your hair, and two of them you will not discover for months.

That is why our packages define the technique, the stay and the aftercare — and leave the graft number to your surgeon, after he has examined your donor area. We transplant the maximum your donor area can safely give. If that is fewer grafts than you expected, you pay the same package price and keep the remaining supply for later in life, when you may need it more. If your case genuinely needs two sessions, that is what the Premium DHI package is built for.

How to read any Turkish quote

Ask one question: what happens if my donor area yields fewer grafts than this package promises?

A clinic that answers clearly has examined donor areas before. A clinic that repeats the number has not.

What your package includes

Every package covers the operation, the consultation and the medical work around it. What changes between tiers is the number of consultations and the hotel nights.

How payment works

We take bank transfer, credit card or debit card (Visa and Mastercard), paid in full before surgery. We do not run instalment plans and we do not work with third-party medical-finance companies: those loans typically carry 15–30% APR, which turns a €2,500 package into well over €3,000 by the time it is repaid. A hair transplant is elective, never urgent — if the money is not there yet, waiting a few months costs nothing surgically.

Treat the opposite offer with the same caution. A clinic that books you on a small deposit and asks for the balance in cash on arrival has moved the decision to the moment you are least able to walk away from it.

Booking direct or through an agency

Medical-tourism agencies typically add 15–25% on top of the clinic’s own price. Same surgeon, same hospital, same result, with a commission attached. An agency earns that fee only when it is genuinely doing the work — arranging consultations at several clinics, translating medical records, coordinating hotels and transfers. Many are simply affiliates who forward your photographs and take a share of what you pay.

Every figure on this page is the direct price. You can speak to the medical team directly, with no intermediary in between.

Why one Istanbul quote says €1,500 and another says €5,000

Both quotes are real. They are not the same operation.

What changes the priceWhy it matters
Who performs the extractionA surgeon-led operation costs more than a technician-led one. Ask who holds the punch, by name.
Where it is performedA licensed hospital carries costs a rented clinic floor does not: an operating theatre, an anaesthesia team, emergency cover.
Technique and consumablesDHI implanters and sapphire blades are single-use and priced per case.
Session lengthA 3,000-graft day and a 5,000-graft day are different operations with different staffing.
What happens after you fly homeAftercare, follow-up and a surgeon who answers at month six are either in the price or they are not.

A low quote is not automatically a bad one. It means the answers above are different — and you are entitled to know what they are before you pay a deposit.

Where your operation actually happens

Clinicana operates inside Acibadem Taksim Hospital — a licensed hospital with its own operating theatres, anaesthesia team and emergency cover. Not a clinic floor rented by the day.

On a price comparison this is the line you cannot see. It is also the one you cannot add later.

Is a hair transplant in Turkey worth it?

It is a fair question, and it splits into two halves: what the lower price buys, and what it does not.

It does not buy a shortcut. Your donor area has the same limit in Istanbul that it has anywhere else, the same techniques are used, and a poor result is as permanent here as it would be at home. Price is not the variable that decides your outcome.

What it does buy is a lower cost base – salaries, facility costs, and the number of operations a clinic performs in a year. That is a real difference in what a clinic must charge, not a difference in the work you receive.

So the question worth asking is not whether Turkey is cheaper. It is what separates two Istanbul clinics quoting €1,500 and €5,000. Five things to ask any of them, ourselves included:

  • Who is the surgeon, by name, and what is he qualified in?
  • Where is the operation performed – in a hospital, or in a room above a shop?
  • Is the price quoted per graft, or for the operation?
  • Will anyone promise a graft number before examining your donor area?
  • Who performs the incisions and the implantation?

Our answers to the first four: Prof. Dr. Soner Tatlıdede; Acıbadem Taksim Hospital; one package price for the operation; and no – we will not name a graft number before your donor area has been examined. The fifth is worth putting to us in your consultation, and to every clinic you shortlist.

What is the cost of a hair transplant in Turkey?

The cost of a hair transplant in Turkey in a quality and trustworthy clinic like Clinicana is around 2,500 EUR for a hair loss treatment using the FUE technique. The price of the hair transplant in Turkey not only includes the surgery itself, but also several additional services. If we consider that just the treatment cost in Britain may be about 10,000 euros, an intervention in Turkey is comparatively cheaper and much more affordable.

It´s important to underline that the fact that the treatment cost is significantly lower in Turkey doesn´t mean a quality loss. Turkey is a country widely known for its top quality medical services and skilled staff, and the best proof of it is that hundreds of thousands of foreigners and Westerners travel every year to the country to receive treatment for all kinds of diseases.

How can I book an appointment?

You can contact our hospital administration for any question or inquiry you may have, and we´ll be glad to clarify any of your doubts. Also, you can get an online free medical consultation  by clicking the button below, and you will obtain an evaluation of your personal case totally free of charge.

After receiving your diagnosis, you may decide to perform your hair treatment with us; in that case after arranging the date of the operation, you just need to book your plane ticket at a date and time of your choice. Please take into consideration that our clinic is closed on Saturdays & Sundays.

Once you have bought your plane tickets (the best option is the new Istanbul Airport, which is located in the European side of the city and therefore closer to Taksim) you will have to send us a copy of your flight information, so that we can arrange your welcome at the airport (we are available 7/24) and also the reservation for your hotel and your surgery.

How is your hair transplant performed?

Our medical staff is always working hard to stay updated on the latest researches in the hair transplant field. That´s why we use the FUE method (Follicular Unit Extraction) in our hair transplant operations, which can broadly be defined as a technique that takes the follicles one by one from the backside of the patient’s head and then implants them in the balding areas.

Advantages of using the FUE method

  1. Two weeks after the date of the operation, all visible effects will disappear leaving no scars.
  2. The surgery is performed under local anaesthesia, so after the procedure is finished, the patient can resume its normal life.
  3. No hard surgical instruments are used.
  4. The operation does not leave any scars or stitches on the head.
  5. Completely painless (except for the needle pricks for the anaesthesia).

When will I see the results?

The FUE method guarantees the best results in hair transplantation; however, it takes time until the first results appear and a usually it´s necessary to wait a whole year until seeing the final appearance of your hair. The main stages are:

After 2 weeks
The new hair might fall. That is normal and there is no need for worry.
After 3 months
The new hair starts growing, but with moderate results.
After 6 months
You will start seeing good results.
After 1 year
You will have the final and best desired result.

Looking for the best hair transplant in Turkey? At Clinicana we offer you the best price-quality ratio for your hair transplant cost in Turkey with no tricks or hidden costs. We never request payments in advance until the patient arrives at our hospital and has agreed all the details of the process with the doctor. That´s why we are the best option in Istanbul, and that´s the reason why more and more people are choosing us as their choice to solve their hair problems.

Hair transplant cost in Turkey: common questions

How much does it cost to get 3,000 hair grafts in Turkey?

At Clinicana, nothing extra. Our packages are priced by technique and stay, not by graft count, so a 3,000-graft case and a larger one sit at the same package price. A standard FUE package is €2,500.

How much do 5,000 grafts cover?

It depends entirely on which zones you are treating and how dense you want them. Use the graft calculator at the top of this page: it estimates the grafts each zone typically needs, so you can see what a given number would realistically cover on your own pattern.

Is it cheaper to get a hair transplant in Turkey?

Yes, and the reason is economic rather than medical: staff costs, theatre costs and the cost of living are lower in Istanbul than in London or New York. The surgery itself is the same surgery — which is exactly why where and by whom it is performed matters more than the country.

What makes the cost go up?

Technique, session length, who operates and where. The table above breaks it down.

What happens ten years after a hair transplant?

Transplanted follicles are taken from areas that are not programmed to fall, so they normally stay. The hair you did not transplant can keep thinning on its own schedule — which is one more reason not to spend your whole donor supply in a single session at twenty-five.

2026 Global Hair Transplant Pricing & Quality Guide: Turkey vs USA, UK & Gulf

Medical Review by: Prof. Dr. Soner Tatlıdede – September 2026 Hair transplant costs in Turkey are up to 70% lower than in the US, UK, and Gulf region due to state healthcare subsidies, favorable economic exchange rates, lower operational overhead, and a specialized surgical infrastructure. 17-Alpha Estradiol (Alfatradiol) for Hair Loss: Efficacy, Mechanism, and Limitations

Medical Review by: Prof. Dr. Soner Tatlıdede – September 2026 17-Alpha Estradiol (commercially known as Alfatradiol or Pantostin) is a topically applied stereoisomer of the female sex hormone 17-Beta Estradiol. Unlike its systemic isomer, 17-Alpha Estradiol exhibits minimal systemic estrogenic activity (approximately 1/100th of the binding affinity to classical estrogen receptors). When applied topically to the scalp […]
